My take on photojournalism

              The above picture shows ethics that I personally hold dear to my heart. I believe everything in life revolves around God and that He made us all for a reason, hence why everything else comes after. From my family and friends to characteristics that I put into my daily life such as respect, kindness, and trust, they are all things that I prioritize in my life.           There are various important controversies such as the following posing and accuracy, staging and truthfulness, recreation, alteration and objectivity, faking reality and professional honesty, hidden camera, privacy and public interest, tragedy, grief and gruesome photos: professional Vs humanity role, indecent photos, stereotyping and the role for human dignity which were listed in Mohammed Khelef’s article. Homai Vyarawalla who was born in the year 1913 is now known to be India’s first female photojournalist. She was born into a family that worked at a travelling theatre hence why she ended up travelling the majority of her life before finally settled down in a city named Mumbai in India. A couple years later she went to college and got married to a man named Manekshaw Vyarawalla who during that time was working at the Times of India. His love for photography is what encouraged her love for love for photography as well. Homai’s career lasted between the years 1930 and 1970, where she did numerous work under her husband’s name because she was a woman before slowly emerging and being more independent. She captured various images which included significant meetings as well as the world war. In the year 1970, Homai retired after losing interest in photography due to the death of her husband in the year 1969. She moved with her son who unfortunately died 10 years later.       As the years go by, there is a constant update in technology. This is what resulted in the creation of multimedia as well as an online newspaper. An online newspaper is basically an online version of a newspaper. With the constant use of telephones as well as the internet, toward the later 1900s, online newspapers were created. For photojournalists, this meant being able to share their images not only in a physical paper but an online version as well.         With the creation of online newspapers came the use of multimedia. Multimedia could vary from texts, audio files, GIF’s or images. O'Sullivan Year Created: 1863 Rule of thirds The photographer placed the main subject in the center of the image which is the first thing the audience notices followed by the other bodies behind. The main subject is horrible but the other bodies show the audience just how terrifying the whole event must have been. Depth of field The right amount of area which is the field is most definitely in focus and it takes up more than half of the image before it transitions into the sky. The photo shows the shallow depth of field because it is obvious that the much bigger however the photographer could not take it all in one shot. The obvious main subject,  The man subject is much bigger than those in the background but not too big that all the attention is solely on it.
